The Raiders will be without starting quarterback Derek Carr for at least two weeks, this after their star pivot suffered a transverse process fracture in his back in week 4 against Denver.

The injury occurred in the third quarter of Sunday’s 16-10 loss to the Broncos at Mile High Stadium.

“There’s a real good chance he’ll miss this week,” coach Jack Del Rio said of Carr’s status “could be as short as two weeks.”

Carr will be replaced by former Buffalo Bills starter EJ Manuel on Sunday vs. the Ravens.

Manuel went 11 of 17 for 106 yards after taking over for Carr last week.

“I tried to come in here and have them work on it. I tried to throw and all those kind of things and it just wasn’t ready yet,” Carr told reporters after the game. “I tried to do anything I could to be back out there. I just couldn’t.”

The Raiders currently sit 2-2 after four games played this NFL regular season.
