Conor McGregor and Khabib Nurmagomedov will finally meet inside the octagon!
UFC President Dana White made the announcement this past Friday in Los Angeles.
The current UFC lightweight champion, Khabib Nurmagomedov, will put his title and undefeated record on the line against former division champion Conor McGregor at UFC 229 on October 6 in Las Vegas.
“The Eagle” was last seen in action at April’s UFC 223 event in Brooklyn where he scored a unanimous decision victory over Al Iaquinta to capture the promotions vacant lightweight title.
Meanwhile, Conor McGregor has not competed inside the octagon since November of 2016 when he defeated Eddie Alvarez via second-round TKO to capture the UFC’s lightweight crown.
McGregor has since been stripped of both his featherweight and lightweight UFC titles due to inactivity.
Who do you think will emerge victorious at UFC 229, Conor or Khabib?
