The UFC crowned two new champions during last night’s UFC 185 event in Dallas, Texas.

In the evenings main event, challenger Rafael dos Anjos battered Anthony “Showtime” Pettis for five-straight rounds to earn a unanimous decision victory and the UFC’s coveted lightweight title.

It was a brilliant performance from “RDA”, who used constant pressure and some solid takedowns to keep Pettis from mounting any real offense.

With the win, dos Anjos became the eleventh Brazilian to capture a UFC title.

Meanwhile, in last night’s co-main event, strawweight title challenger Joanna Jedrzejczyk showed off some excellent takedown defense mixed with some high-level striking to defeat Carla Esparza via second-round TKO.

The victory earned the Polish fighter the UFC’s women’s strawweight championship.

In other main card action, Henry Cejudo, Alistair Overeem and John Hendricks all scored decision wins.
