The Golden State Warriors defeated the Cleveland Cavaliers by a final score of 105-97 yesterday evening, thus earning the franchise’s first NBA Championship in 40 years.

The Warriors proved to be too much for the Lebron James and the Cavaliers, overwhelming Cleveland with 3-pointers and some stellar defense during game six of the NBA Finals.

Golden State forward Andre Iguodala was named the Final’s Most Valuable Player, as he was able to slow down the offensive production of LeBron James while adding some key offense of his own.“Iggy” was able to put up 25-points in yesterday’s series clinching game six victory over Cleveland.
Golden State point guard Stephen Curry, also known as this year’s NBA MVP, also contributed 25-points in last night’s win.

The championship-starved city of Cleveland will now have to wait another year for a chance at redemption.

LeBron James gave Cav’s fans everything he had during the Finals, but even his miraculous efforts were not enough to play spoiler to the Warriors.

“If I could have gave more… I would have.” stated a dejected James after the loss.
