The Green Bay Packers lost one of their best players yesterday evening in Pittsburgh.

First-team All-pro wide receiver Jordy Nelson suffered what is now confirmed to be a torn ACL in the first quarter of the Packers 24-19 pre-season loss to the Steelers.

Nelson is coming off a career-best season in 2014, which saw him catch 98 receptions for 1,519 yards and 13 touchdowns.

The Packers will now rely on Randall Cobb and second-year wideout Davante Adams to haul-in passes from quarterback Aaron Rodgers.

Green Bay also boasts some talented young rookie receivers in the form of seventh-round pick Jeff Janis and training-camp standout Ty Montgomery.

Still, the loss of Jordy Nelson is a significant blow to the Packer’s  Super Bowl aspirations.
