Bad news for Cleveland Browns fans. On Monday morning the team announced that quarterback Robert Griffin III would miss an extended period of time after suffering a shoulder injury in the squads week 1 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles.
Griffin was place on injury reserve and could easily miss the remainder of this NFL season.
That means that the Browns will once again turn to quarterback Josh McCown under center.
The 37-year-old has played well for the Browns over the past two seasons and should be able to step in and fill the void without any issues.
In 8 starts with Cleveland last season, McCown threw for 12 touchdowns against just 4 interceptions and a completion percentage of 63.7%.
The Browns will host the Baltimore Ravens in week 2 of the NFL regular season.
