A women’s bantamweight bout between former division champion Holly Holm and former title challenger Bethe Correia will headline UFC Fight Night 111 on June 17 in Singapore.

UFC Canada just broke the news on Twitter.

Holly Holm was last seen in action at February’s UFC 208 event in Brooklyn, where she took on Germaine de Randamie for the inaugural women’s featherweight championship.

Unfortunately for fans of “The Preacher’s Daughter”, Holly was outpointed by “GDR” and lost the main event contest via unanimous decision.

After starting her mixed martial arts career a perfect 10-0, capturing the UFC’s women’s bantamweight title in the process, Holly has now dropped three-straight fights and is in desperate need of a win.

Holm lost her UFC women’s bantamweight championship to Miesha Tate at UFC 196 in March of 2016 via fifth-round submission. Following her title fight loss to Tate, Holm was matched up with rising star Valentina Shevchenko who defeated Holly via unanimous decision.

Meanwhile, Bethe Correia was most recently seen in action at March’s UFC Fight Night 106 event in Brazil, where she battled Marion Reneau to a majority draw. Prior to that, the Brazilian standout was coming off a split-decision win over Jessica Eye which took place at UFC 203 in Cleveland.

Who do you think will emerge victorious when Holly Holm and Bethe Correia throw down in Singapore on June 17?

Bethe Correia suffered a devastating knockout loss in her attempt to dethrone Ronda Rousey at this past weekend’s UFC 190 event in Brazil.

It was a tough loss to swallow for the previously undefeated Brazilian, but Correia is already back on her feet and planning a title run for the 2016 year:

“I promise I will fight for the belt next year,” Correia told Combate. “In 2016, I want to write a different story. I want, above all things, to be respected. I want a triumphant return. I won’t accept ending 2016 without an UFC belt on my waist. Everything I want, I get. That will be my battle.”

If “Rowdy” is still the champion when Correia earns a second title shot, she will be even more motivated:

“If she still has the belt next year, I will meet her again. I will get that belt. I think Ronda will be dethroned and I hope I get to do it. Everybody loses at one point.”

Do you think Correia can earn a second title shot? Who would you like to see her fight next?

Undefeated UFC women’s bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey (11-0 MMA) will defend her title in the headlining bout of August’s UFC 190 pay-per-view event in Brazil, when she faces off with undefeated challenger Bethe Correia (9-0 MMA).

UFC President Dana White made the announcement earlier today.

Rousey was last seen in action at last month’s UFC 184 event in Los Angeles, where she scored an amazing 14-second submission victory over challenger Cat Zingano. Prior to that, “Rowdy” defeated Alexis Davis via TKO just 16 seconds in to their title fight at UFC 175.

Meanwhile, Bethe Correia has gone a perfect 3-0 since joining the UFC ranks in December of 2013. The Brazilian “Pitbull” has scored notable victories over Jessamyn Duke and Shayne Baszler, both teammates of Rousey, in her most recent octagon appearances.

The event is co-headlined by a light heavyweight fight featuring Shogun Rua taking on Antonio Rogerio Nogueira for a second time.
