The Denver Broncos defeated the New England Patriots by a final score of 20-18 on Sunday afternoon and will now play the Carolina Panthers in Super Bowl 50.

Denver cornerback Bradley Roby saved the game in the final seconds of the fourth quarter, this by picking off a Tom Brady pass during a 2-point conversion try that would have tied the game.

Peyton Manning played well in yesterday’s AFC Championship game. The 39-year-old veteran quarterback completed 17 of 32 pass attempts for 176 yards and 2 touchdowns in the win.

Denver tight-end Owen Daniels hauled in both of Manning’s touchdown passes and finished the game with 33 yards receiving.

The Broncos defense played fantastic in yesterday’s win. The squad was able to sack former NFL MVP Tom Brady on four separate occasions and also forced him in to throwing two interceptions.

Denver’s star linebacker Von Miller recorded 2.5 sacks and 1 interception in the win.

The Denver Broncos will now meet the Carolina Panthers in Super Bowl 50 on Sunday February 7.

Oakland Raiders officially eliminated from playoffs!

Oakland Raiders officially eliminated from playoffs!

The Oakland Raiders (6-8) were officially eliminated from the AFC playoff picture on Sunday afternoon, this after suffering a 30-20 home loss to the Green Bay Packers (10-4).

Raiders quarterback Derek Carr played decent on Sunday, completing 23 of 47 passes for 276 yards and 2 touchdowns. However, the young pivot did throw 2 untimely interceptions, which went a long-way in ruining Oakland’s chances of upsetting the NFC North leading Packers squad.

Still, the Raiders should take pride in their 2015 regular season, which saw them score upset victories over the San Diego Chargers, Denver Broncos and New York Jets.

The future definitely looks promising for the Raiders who have a young and very talented offense led by the aforementioned Derek Carr.

Oakland will close out the season with games against division rivals the San Diego Chargers and Kansas City Chiefs.

Seattle Seahawks extend win streak to four in a row!

Seattle Seahawks extend win streak to four in a row!

The Seattle Seahawks (8-5) extended their current win streak to four games in a row by destroying the Ravens (4-9) by a final score of 35-6 yesterday afternoon in Baltimore.

Seattle’s defense appears to have returned to the form which saw them capture the Super Bowl just two years ago.

The Seahawks have given up a total of 13 points in their past two games against the Minnesota Vikings and aforementioned Baltimore Ravens, which has resulted in the squad becoming the NFL’s second-ranked overall defense.

Seattle’s star quarterback, Russell Wilson, threw five touchdown passes on Sunday afternoon, three of which went to wideout Doug Baldwin.

With their Week 14 victory over the Ravens, the Seahawks now find themselves in an NFC Wild Card spot.

The one piece of bad news for Seattle fans was that the team lost running back Thomas Rawls for the remainder of the season with a broken ankle.

Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll stated yesterday that there is still no timetable for the return of “Beastmode” aka Marshawn Lynch.

Seattle’s remaining three games will be played at home against the Cleveland Browns, St. Louis Rams and Arizona Cardinals.
