Jon Jones has some advice for Ronda Rousey following UFC 207 loss

Ronda Rousey (12-2 MMA) made her highly anticipated return to the octagon in the main event of last night’s UFC 207 fight card in Las Vegas where she challenged current UFC women’s bantamweight champion Amanda Nunes for the title she used to posses.

Unfortunately for fans of “Rowdy”, the fight didn’t go her way whatsoever, as she was overwhelmed by a barrage of early punches from “The Lioness” which led to a shocking 48-second TKO loss.

The setback marked Rousey’s second in a row and also served as her second career defeat. Ronda had suffered a shocking head kick knockout loss to Holly Holm in her most previous octagon appearance at UFC 193 in November of 2015.

Ronda has yet to issue a statement since suffering the quick loss to Amanda Nunes.

Many fellow fighters weighed in on Rousey’s shocking comeback loss shortly after it occurred at UFC 207. Ronda Rousey’s mother also issued a statement shortly following her daughters loss.

Today, former UFC light heavyweight champion Jon “Bones” Jones took to Twitter where he offered Ronda some advice and added that Rousey he believed Rousey would be a champion for the rest of her life. Check it out:

Jones believes that Ronda can still beat 90% of the women’s bantamweight division and added that her next career move will truly determine her legacy.

Do you think we will see Ronda Rousey return to the octagon for another fight?

Sam Bradford to start at QB for the Vikings against the Packers

Sam Bradford to start at QB for the Vikings against the Packers

Former NFL #1 overall draft pick Sam Bradford will make his Minnesota Vikings debut in the teams home opener against long time rival the Green Bay Packers in this evening’s edition of Sunday Night Football.

Vikings head coach Mike Zimmer made the announcement earlier today.

The Vikings (1-0) earned a road victory over the Tennessee Titans last week. Shaun Hill was the Vikings quarterback in week 1 and played well enough to get the win. However, the Vikings staff obviously believe that Sam Bradford will help improve their odds of defeating the Packers in week 2’s edition of Sunday Night Football.

Meanwhile, the Green Bay Packers (1-0) scored a road victory over the Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 1. Star quarterback Aaron Rodgers played well under center and will need another stellar performance tonight if his team is to defeat a tough Vikings squad led by a nasty defense.

Oddsmakers currently have the Packers favored as a -3 point road favorite for Sunday Night Football.

Minnesota Vikings trade for Sam Bradford

Minnesota Vikings trade for Sam Bradford

The Minnesota Vikings executed a blockbuster trade with the Philadelphia Eagles on Saturday, acquiring former No. 1 overall pick quarterback Sam Bradford.

The Vikings gave up a first-round pick in 2017 and a fourth-round pick in 2018 that can become a third- or second-rounder based on conditions. The Eagles will pay $11 million of Bradford’s salary as part of the deal, which means Minnesota is only playing Bradford $7 million in 2016, according to NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport.

The news was first reported by ESPN.

The trade comes shortly after Vikings franchise quarterback Teddy Bridgewater suffered a gruesome dislocated knee injury and torn ACL on Tuesday.

The Vikings won the NFC North division last year under Teddy.

Bradford threw for 3,725 yards, 19 touchdowns and 14 interceptions last season in Chip Kelly’s Eagles offense.

If he’s healthy, expect rookie Carson Wentz to start Week 1 for the Eagles, per NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo.

Minnesota Vikings QB Teddy Bridgewater will miss the entire season

Terrible news for Minnesota Vikings fans as quarterback Teddy Bridgewater will miss the entire 2016-2017 season after suffering a torn ACL and dislocated knee.

Backup quarterback Shaun Hill will now replace Bridgewater under center.

Teddy released the following statement to his fans and the NFL community:

“I want to thank the Wilf Family and the entire Vikings organization, all of my teammates, friends, Eric Sugarman and the amazing Vikings athletic training staff and the fans who have sent me messages and wished me well. Your thoughts and prayers mean a lot to me and have helped me in this difficult time. There are great players and great leaders in our locker room who are going to fight to the end to reach the goals we set for 2016. I will be there mentally, physically and in spirit to support them accomplish those goals.

In order to have a testimony, you have to have a test. I come from amazing DNA, I watched my mom fight and win against breast cancer. We will, as a team, attack my rehab with the same vigor and energy. My faith is strong, my faith is unwavering and my vision is clear. My purpose will not be denied.”
