Free agent point guard Derrick Rose has signed a one-year deal with the Cleveland Cavaliers according to ESPN.

As per Chris Haynes report, Rose is expected to make the veteran minimum of $2.1 million for his services.

Derrick Rose was voted the NBA’s Most Valuable Player back in 2011 but has been plagued by knee injuries ever since.

Last season, Rose averaged 18-points, 3.8 rebounds, and 4.4 assists per game as a member of the New York Knicks.

Rose played in 64 games during the 2016-2017 NBA season and posted a 47.1 percent shooting average, his best since 2009-2010.

The signing of Rose does not come as a shock, as the Cavs are expected to part ways with an unhappy Kyrie Irving later this summer.

Draymond Green was not very happy to see current UFC lightweight champion Conor McGregor rocking a Golden State Warriors jersey.

The NBA champion, Green, took to Instagram where he posted the following photo of McGregor with this caption, “We rocking with Floyd bro not you… take that off bruh @thenotoriousmma”.

Draymond, who sports the #23 jersey for Golden State, assumed that Conor McGregor was wearing his jersey.

However, when responding to Green, “Mystic Mac” revealed that the jersey was actually C.J. Watson’s and added that he had no clue who Green was.

“I don’t know who the f–k you are. No disrespect tho kid keep hustling and stay in school. Now ask yourself why I’m rocking C.j. when I don’t give a f–k about basketball.  dribble heads off the floor. Not a ball. This is no game here kid.” – Conor McGregor

C.J. Watson was reportedly in a relationship with Josie Harris, who is the mother of Floyd Mayweather’s three children and was the victim of a 2010 assault from the undefeated boxing legend.

Mayweather spent 90 days in jail for the offense.

Draymond Green attempted to fire back at Conor McGregor’s insult with the following response.

“hahahahaha that number won’t be worn again when I’m finished with it clown! Gold medalist, NBA champ, all star, DPOY etc!!! Hahahaha stop it boy! Nate Diaz (Bay Area stand up) whooped you in your ring! Money May”

Sorry Draymond, but firing back your list of credentials doesn’t save you from the fact that McGregor just roasted you on social media. Better luck next time champ.

What did you think of Conor McGregor’s brief social media spat with Draymond Green?

Golden State Warriors vs. Utah Jazz series preview

Golden State Warriors vs. Utah Jazz series preview

When the Golden State Warriors added Kevin Durant to their already stacked 73-win team this past offseason the message was clear. Nothing less then a championship would be sufficient in 2017.

So far the Warriors seemed poised to make good on the expectation, sweeping the Portland Trailblazers 4 games to 0 in round one of the playoffs.

With that said, sweeping the Utah Jazz will not be as easy.

The Jazz ended the regular season with a 51 and 31 record, finishing as the fifth seed in the NBA’s Western Conference.

Utah proved they are a mentally tough squad in the opening round of this year’s NBA playoffs, defeating the Los Angeles Clippers in a wild seven-game series that culminated with a 104-91 road victory.

In order for Utah to upset the heavily favored Warriors, the Jazz will need center Rudy Gobert to play at his absolute best.

In addition, Utah will need to find a way to shutdown the talent rich Golden State lineup.

The Warriors got back Kevin Durant from injury during their first-round series with Portland, and now boast a lineup that includes Draymond Green, Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson.

With such a talented squad, including a solid bench, this series is really Golden State’s to lose.

Game 1 takes place tonight in at Oracle Arena in Oakland.

LeBron James leads the Cavs past the Raptors in Game 1

LeBron James leads the Cavs past the Raptors in Game 1

LeBron James put on a stellar performance in game 1 against the Toronto Raptors, leading his Cleveland Cavaliers to a 116-105 victory.

“King James” finished the game with 35 points, 4 assists and 10 rebounds, and was clearly the best player on the floor for either team.

The Raptors had no answer for James, who made over fifty percent of his shot attempts including two clutch three pointers.

LeBron took things to another level when he took a beer from a fan on the sidelines and pretended to drink it while still on the court.

Game two of the series takes place tomorrow night in Cleveland.

If Toronto is to have any hope of upsetting the defending NBA Champions, they will have to find a way of shutting down LeBron James.
