Jordy Nelson signs a 2-year deal with the Raiders

Wide receiver Jordy Nelson was cut by the Green Bay Packers earlier this month, this after ten successful pro seasons with the football club.

The 32-year-old will now take his talents to the Oakland Raiders after agreeing to a 2-year $14.2 million dollar deal.

Jordy Nelson’s 69 career touchdowns rank second in Green Bay Packers history.

Nelson will now join an Oakland Raiders offense led by star young quarterback Derek Carr.

Ndamukong Suh signs a one-year deal with the LA Rams

The Los Angeles Rams have signed defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh to a one-year deal worth $14 million dollars according to NFL Media Insider Ian Rapoport.

The 31-year-old was released by his former team the Miami Dolphins at the start of free agency.

Suh had visited the Titans, Saints and Raiders prior to eventually signing with the Rams.

In LA, Suh will play alongside reigning defensive player of the year Aaron Donald.

Los Angeles made the playoffs last season under the leadership of star quarterback Jared Goff.

With the signing of Suh, it is clear that the Rams have Super Bowl aspirations for the 2018-2019 season.

NFL Divisional Playoffs Schedule

The divisional round of this year’s NFL playoffs will kick off Saturday in Philadelphia when the NFC East Champion Eagles play host to the Atlanta Falcons at 4:35 pm est.

Later that same night, the AFC East winning New England Patriots will welcome the Tennessee Titans to Foxboro Stadium. Kickoff for the Pats vs. Titans matchup is set for 8:15 pm est.

On Sunday afternoon, the AFC North champion Pittsburgh Steelers will host the AFC South Champion Jacksonville Jaguars. That pivotal game will kickoff at 1:05 pm est.

The final game of the divisional playoff round will take place in Minnesota when the NFC North Champion Vikings welcome back the NFC South Champion New Orleans Saints. Kickoff for the Vikings vs. Saints matchup is set for 4:40 pm est.

NFL Wildcard Weekend Matchups are set!

The Buffalo Bills (9-7) snuck into the playoffs today after defeating the Miami Dolphins and getting some help from the Cincinnati Bengals.

Buffalo will now head to Jacksonville next weekend to battle the AFC South winning Jaguars.

The Tennessee Titans also clinched a playoff berth this afternoon after defeating the aforementioned Jaguars 15-10.

The Titans, led by quarterback Marcus Mariota, will now travel to Kansas City next weekend to take on the AFC West winning Chiefs.

Meanwhile, in the NFC, the Minnesota Vikings (13-3) defeated division rivals the Chicago Bears to secure a first-round bye on the Conferences #2 seed.

Last seasons Super Bowl losers, the Atlanta Falcons, secured a return trip to the playoffs by defeating the Carolina Panthers earlier today.

The Falcons will now travel to Los Angeles to battle the Rams in next weekends wildcard round.

With that said, the Carolina Panthers will travel to New Orleans to battle the NFC South winning Saints in the final wildcard matchup of 2018.
