The Chicago Bears fell to 1-3 on Thursday night, this after suffering a 35-14 loss to their NFC North rivals the Green Bay Packers.

After watching his offense fail to produce for a second straight week, Bears head coach John Fox has opted to make a change at quarterback.

The team announcement Monday that rookie quarterback Mitchell Trubisky would be replacing Mike Glennon as the Bears starting quarterback.

“He’s got that maturity and confidence you have to have in that position,” Fox said. “We didn’t give ourselves a chance in two games. We have to change that.”

Glennon went 93 of 140 (66.4 percent) for 833 yards, four touchdowns and five interceptions in four games as started this season for Chicago.

Meanwhile, Trubisky completed nearly 70 percent of his passes for 3,748 yards, 30 touchdowns and six interceptions during his 13 games as starter for the North Carolina Tar Heels last season in college.

The Bears will face off against the Minnesota Vikings (2-2) next week on Monday Night Football.

Minnesota Vikings running back Dalvin Cook out for the season

Terrible news for Minnesota Vikings (2-2) fans.

Dynamic running back Dalvin Cook will miss the remainder of the season after suffering a torn ACL in Sunday’s 14-7 loss to the Detroit Lions.

“I expect him to come back and be the same that he was,” Coach Mike Zimmer told reporters of Cook.

Cook had put together an amazing opening few games recording 354 yards on the ground while averaging 4.8 yards per carry.

The second-round back out Florida State had also hauled in 11 receptions for 90 yards this season.

The Vikings, who have been without starting quarterback Sam Bradford since Week 1, will now turn to running backs Latavius Murray and Jerick McKinnon to pick up the slack on offense.

Derek Carr will miss 2-4 weeks with a transverse process back fracture

Derek Carr will miss 2-4 weeks with a transverse process back fracture

The Raiders will be without starting quarterback Derek Carr for at least two weeks, this after their star pivot suffered a transverse process fracture in his back in week 4 against Denver.

The injury occurred in the third quarter of Sunday’s 16-10 loss to the Broncos at Mile High Stadium.

“There’s a real good chance he’ll miss this week,” coach Jack Del Rio said of Carr’s status “could be as short as two weeks.”

Carr will be replaced by former Buffalo Bills starter EJ Manuel on Sunday vs. the Ravens.

Manuel went 11 of 17 for 106 yards after taking over for Carr last week.

“I tried to come in here and have them work on it. I tried to throw and all those kind of things and it just wasn’t ready yet,” Carr told reporters after the game. “I tried to do anything I could to be back out there. I just couldn’t.”

The Raiders currently sit 2-2 after four games played this NFL regular season.
