The Golden State Warriors are having a historic NBA Playoffs.

The California-based franchise became the first team in NBA history to sweep their way to an NBA Finals birth going a perfect 12-0.

The Warriors most recently disposed of the San Antonio Spurs, this after eliminating the Utah Jazz and Portland Trail Blazers respectively.

Golden State’s star guard Stephen Curry has had an interesting post-season. The three-point machine seems willing to play any role needed in order for his team to emerge victorious this playoffs.

Curry has played five games this post-season in which he has scored 23 points or fewer.

With that said, Curry has had a ton of options to work with offensively, including power forward Kevin Durant.

As for Cleveland, the Cavaliers have also put together an incredible playoff run.

The Cavs swept both the Indian Pacers and Toronto Raptors to begin their post-season.

The squad, led by LeBron James, then defeated the Boston Celtics in five games to capture the Eastern Conference title.

“King” James and Cleveland’s star guard Kyrie Irving will have to perform at their very best in order to repeat as NBA Champions when they square off with Golden State in this years finals.

When the Golden State Warriors added Kevin Durant to their already stacked 73-win team this past offseason the message was clear. Nothing less then a championship would be sufficient in 2017.

So far the Warriors seemed poised to make good on the expectation, sweeping the Portland Trailblazers 4 games to 0 in round one of the playoffs.

With that said, sweeping the Utah Jazz will not be as easy.

The Jazz ended the regular season with a 51 and 31 record, finishing as the fifth seed in the NBA’s Western Conference.

Utah proved they are a mentally tough squad in the opening round of this year’s NBA playoffs, defeating the Los Angeles Clippers in a wild seven-game series that culminated with a 104-91 road victory.

In order for Utah to upset the heavily favored Warriors, the Jazz will need center Rudy Gobert to play at his absolute best.

In addition, Utah will need to find a way to shutdown the talent rich Golden State lineup.

The Warriors got back Kevin Durant from injury during their first-round series with Portland, and now boast a lineup that includes Draymond Green, Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson.

With such a talented squad, including a solid bench, this series is really Golden State’s to lose.

Game 1 takes place tonight in at Oracle Arena in Oakland.

The Cleveland Cavaliers will try and make NBA history on Sunday night by becoming the first team to win an NBA Championship after trailing a finals series 3-1.

The Cavaliers defeated Golden State by a final score of 115-101 in game six on Thursday night in Cleveland, thus forcing a do-or-die game seven in California.

Former league MVP Lebron James scored 41 points for the second game in a row, leading the Cavs to Thursday night’s lopsided victory over the Warriors.

Golden State’s best player and league MVP Stephen Curry fouled-out of game six and was then ejected by the referee , this after he threw his mouth piece in to the crowd.

Curry will not face a suspension for his actions, however he did receive a $25,000 fine from the league.

The Cavs came flying out of the gate in game six, taking an early 31-11 first quarter lead.

The Warriors only shot 29% from the floor in game six and will need to be much better if they hope to repeat as NBA Champions by winning game seven.

The NBA’s most valuable player Stephen Curry was not available for round one of the NBA playoffs but that did not stop the Golden State Warriors from making easy-work of Houston Rockets in round one of this year’s NBA playoffs.

Golden State defeated the Rockets by a convincing score of 114-81 in game 5 of their first-round series last night and thus advanced to round 2 of the 2016 NBA Playoffs.

The Warriors will now play the Portland Trail Blazers, who moved on to the second-round of the NBA Playoffs by defeating the Los Angeles Clippers.

Stephen Curry is not expected to be available until game five of the second-round series with the Trail Blazers, so it will be interesting to see how the Warriors handle the first four games.
