The NHL Playoffs returned to Winnipeg for the first time in 19 years this season.

The news caused the Canadian city to go in to a ‘playoff frenzy’, resulting in back-to-back ‘whiteouts’ inside the MTS Center arena.

Unfortunately for Jets fans, the return did not result in any playoff victories.

The Jets were swept by the Western Conference winning Anaheim Ducks in four-straight games, losing game four by a final score of 5-2 on Wednesday evening in Winnipeg.

It was a disappointing end to a fantastic season for the Winnipeg Jets, who have a promising future to look forward too.

Meanwhile, the Anaheim Ducks looked like the Western Conference’s best team throughout the series.

Anaheim was led by the play of captain Ryan Getzlaf, as well as some key goals from snipers Corey Perry and Ryan Kessler.

The Ducks will now face the winner of the Vancouver Canucks vs. Calgary Flames series, which Calgary is currently leading 3-2.
