The Winnipeg Jets are flying high, this after clinching an NHL Stanley Cup Playoffs berth yesterday evening.

Winnipeg suffered a 1-0 shootout loss to Colorado last night, but with the Calgary Flames victory over the Los Angeles Kings, the Jets officially locked down the second and final wild card spot in the NHL’s Western Conference.

Winnipeg will now face either the Anaheim Ducks or St. Louis Blues in the first-round of this year’s NHL Stanley Cup Playoffs.

It marks the first time since the Jets return to Winnipeg in 2011 that the team has made the playoffs.

The Jets have been red hot of late, winning 7 of their past 11 games.

Winnipeg goaltender Andrej Pavelec has been amazing in recent weeks, and is currently riding 3-straight shutout performances.

The MTS Center will sure to be rocking when the Jets play their first home game in front of a sold out crowd in an expected “White Out” in Winnipeg.
