The defending Stanley Cup Champion Pittsburgh Penguins were able to fend off a feisty Ottawa Senators squad and win the NHL’s Eastern Conference Title in the final game of their best of seven series last night at PPG Paints Arena.

Penguins star forward Sidney Crosby set up the game winning tally in double overtime, setting up Chris Kunitz for his second goal of the game, breaking the hearts of Ottawa Senators fans in the process.

With the win, the Penguins will once again play for the Stanley Cup, this time against the Western Conference winning Nashville Predators.

Game 1 of the series is set for Monday night in Pittsburgh (8 EST).

The Western Conference’s eighth seed Nashville Predators defeated the Chicago Blackhawks, St. Louis Blues and most recently the Anaheim Ducks to advance to their first ever Stanley Cup Finals.

Meanwhile, the Penguins defeated the Columbus Blue Jackets, Washington Capitals and the aforementioned Ottawa Senators to once again advance to the final round.
