Vince Wilfork will return to the football field in 2015!

The longtime New England Patriot nose tackle has signed a two-year deal with the Houston Texans worth $9 million, which includes $5 million in guaranteed money.

NFL media insider Ian Rapoport broke the news earlier today.

The 33-year-old Wilfork, who won the Super Bowl with the Pats last season, took to Twitter to announce his departure after 11 seasons in New England:

“This has been an interesting process for me and my family, one we have taken very seriously and given a lot of thought,” Wilfork wrote in a message posted on his official Twitter page Monday. “We want to thank the Kraft family and the entire Patriot organization for the last 11 years however we will be starting a new chapter in our lives as Houston Texans.”

Wilfork continued:

“The coaching staff in Houston has made this new exciting transition feel like home to us. We will forever be Patriots in our hearts, thank you everyone for everything.”

Wilfork now joins defensive player of the year J.J. Watt on the Texans defensive line.
